How to calibrate between subwoofer and full-range portable bluetooth speakers?

Hedy 2021-01-26 14:32:25

1. Bandwidth relationship between subwoofer and full frequency system (crossover) of portable bluetooth speakers

2. Relationship between output sound pressure level (gain) of subwoofer and full frequency system of portable bluetooth speakers

3. Signal arrival time relationship (delay) between subwoofer and full frequency system of portable bluetooth speakers

The portable bluetooth speaker itself is a bandpass device. Therefore, in order to simplify the measurement and facilitate the observation of images, we will use high-pass and low-pass filters to replace the actual speakers. The result obtained in this way basically fits the actual situation, except that the actual measurement microphone cannot be added to the simulation test, so it is impossible to simulate the influence of the change of the microphone test position. However, considering that the impact caused by the change of the test microphone position mainly affects the high-frequency part of portable bluetooth speakers with obvious directivity, and portable bluetooth speakers basically shows the omnidirectional characteristic in the low frequency band, the impact caused by the different test microphone position is not large. So the problem of testing the position of the microphone is not a concern.

Another factor that is affected by the position of the test microphone is that different microphone positions will cause the distance between the two sets of portable bluetooth speakers under test (bass and full range) to reach the test microphone to change. In this way, the measurement results in some positions may be very good, but if the distance between the two portable bluetooth speakers and the microphone is equal to 1.5 times the wavelength of the frequency near the crossover point, the overall response curve will be A valley appears (interference cancellation). Therefore, when performing on-site measurements, it is recommended that the test microphone be placed in the audience area where the amplitude and time difference are representative.
